RWS TRUMPET SECTION LOVES YOU! :)

Thursday, 9 April 2009

My darling Trumpeters,
Hmm, some comments... nope is opinion to give to all of you.

Dearest Hocky,
Enjoy your bandless schedule and remember to study hard. Hope this year top scorer of the band will be YOU! Study, study, study! Love you.

Dearest SiannngggJoo,
A great section leader to be, i have totally no objection of you being our and MY section leader.
You have to be a little strict to the sec1s if not, they are going to climb over your head. Hope that even you are a PC now, you still can maintain the happiness of the section. Do more gossiping, its FUN and it can also make the section more bonded. i think its time for the whole section to get close with the sec1s as sooner or later, they are going to join the main band. Your playing is fanstatic but not everyone in the section is like you, so please do teach all the members and make them as good as you or even better than you. Love you.

Dearest Birdy / Liting,
A great player in the section, (: and please do not even have the mindset that you want to be a trombonist than a trumpeter. The section needs you and you know that, so get rid of that sinful mindset of yours alright? please help Siangjoo to teach the section alright, like limin, as you know she's quite a slow learner and it takes patience to teach her and only you in the section have that ability to teach her slowly. Being the department head of the library isn't easy, it will take up alot of your time and it might affect your wonderful studies. So, don't let it happen alright? Love you.

Dearest Shazlina,
Also a great player in the section alright? But please beware of your sound as i've realised that your sound does not match with any one in the section alright? Try your best to blend your sound with the section. I've ask Siangjoo to give everyone a chance to get first instead of taking third every single time but she will give you base on your ability. If you are good, the probability of you getting first will be higher and i think you are sick of getting third everytime right? So, work hard for it alright? Love you.

Dearest Limin,
You are a good player and i couldn't denied it. Its just that you don't dare to play out. You know all your rhythm and all the notes but you are afraid to play out. Its okay to play wrong notes or miss pitch for a few notes but you have to have the courage. In the section, i worried most about you. You are always sick and this worries me, seeing you in a pale/bad condition makes me want to send you home immediately but during the SYF period, i didn't allow you to because i don't want you to miss any important detail of the music. So eat more fruits and vegetable alright?
And, you're doing fine in the section. Love you.

Dearest JiongHong,
I know that you are a very hardworking trumpeter/sec1, you came to practice alone while others are at home sleeping. Great job! Don't misunderstood that we don't like you and blah blah blah, its not, its just we the seniors want to enjoy ourselves for the last few times but when we are talking, you would interupt our conversation. That is why we feel irritated and stuffs. Its not that we don't like you alright. You said that we are very fierce but we are not, we just want you to learn faster and we dont wish that our sec1s will climb over our head so that is why we are a little fierce to you.

Dearest Izzatul,
Another primary school player in our section, (: Everything about you is goood, your playing and such. Its just that you're just a little too soft. Try projecting more like use more air to fill up the whole mouthpiece and breathe in much more, it helps! Socialize more with your seniors alright? In our section, no one is quiet so dont let yourself become the first one. Love you.

Dearest Felicia,
You have to try to come for all the practices alright? Don't let yourself fall behind the rest of the sec1s, and dont dissappoint you elder sis. I didn't really get to hear your playing as earlier on, the seniors are busy preparing for SYF and we neglected all of you. So, after 6 months when i come back, i want to hear you playing as good as all the seniors! Love you.

Your former Section leader,
Noel ma (:

loved... & missed.

Yesterday was the Award's day.
The sec4's last performance, yes, Hockie's last performance.
Hockie, don't feel sad. We'll love you and miss you like the way we used to be. :)
Don't cry.

And Noel I'll wait for you to come back to the section okay.
I'll try my best to make the section strong!
Now 2 of the seniors left, we need to buck up more.
Please workharder and harder.
Esp sec1s, I'm gonna eat you'all up. (joking.)
Okay, let's strive for the best!

YOU RAISED ME UP!
SO I CAN STAND ON MOUNTAINS.

Hey trumpeters!

Noel, Siangjoo, LiTing, Limin and Shazlina!

Last performance with you guys today.

The all girls power crazy happy section. It has been great going through the SYF period with you girls. Great having sectionals, having combine, having lunch where we'll always end being later than time given, having fun with you girls.

All the memories we've shared.. Disappointing moments, fun times when we go roaring with laughters in the bus, during sectionals, or anywhere! etcetc. Love them all.

I'm gonna miss having so much fun with you guys. But anyway looking on a brighter side, we'll all anticipate for Opus yeah!

Though we may get distanced as time goes by, but bear that in mind that I love you girls, and will never forget all those times we have shared. It means so much to me! :)

Now that Noel and I have stand down, do continue rocking the section!

For Siangjoo, it's your turn to lead the section now. 3 years passed by. Guess you're not that fierce and scary anymore HAHAHA. Focus on the juniors' individual problems, have them solve it. Help them out with their scales, theory and such. Keep up with your good results in studies eh! And yea, continue improving you trumpeter!

Of course not forgetting Liting, help out siangjoo your beloved batchmate! Time for two of you to lead the section. I know you find it difficult to project your sound. But take it one step at a time yeah? I've heard you play loud before, and I know you can definitely do it! Don't look at the boring dull one year you have left in band. Before you even know it, time will fly by, and pooft, no more band practice for you. Cherish the time you have left in RWS, in RWS trumpet section. Love you manymany. :)

Bring the section to greater heights!

And for limin and shazlina, you guys still have SYF'2011 to go! MrLim has already mentioned what'll be ahead for you guys two years later. You two are going to have to be stronger than any of us in trumpet playing! Do keep improving, never stop! :)

As for the 3 sec1s: Izzatul, Jionghong and Felicia. I haven't really gotten to know you guys much. But being sec1s, you guys are just starting out to play the trumpet. In the beginning, practices may seem pretty dull, boring or whatsoever negative to you. Just take one step at a time. First, make the effort to turn up for band practices of course. You learn, practice, improve. I believe you guys have the potential to be great trumpeters of RWS. Maybe you guys have yet gotten to know the seniors you have. Perhaps your impression of them is fierce, or that they don't care about you. I tell you, you guys have an awesome bunch of seniors. You guys will get to know them more and more as time comes by. Jiayou sec1s! I'll be back to see you guys, to see tremendous improvement from each one of you.

Noel. It has been great being bandmates with you since primary 4. Glad to have you with me for the past years. Can't believe time flew by like no ducks business. Now that we have stand down in band, it's time for us to really focus in our studies eh. You jiayou for your 'Ns', and me, for my 'Os'! Love you!

Keep improving, the awesome RWS- trumpeters! :)

Excel in trumpet playing, and in your studies!

See you trumpeters around in school!

Love,
Hockhuey.

Hey trumpeters! ;)

WELL DONE! Guess we have achieved our goal. Evidence of ''what we reap, is what we sow.'' We reaped to practising, we got our desirable result.

Getting a Gold should not get any of us proud, or complacent or whatsoever. It should push you to work even harder.

The process to SYF had sure been an arduos one. I hope you guys enjoyed that 15 minutes on stage.

Not to forget, we ought to thank MrLim, MsLoh, MrLin, YongLin, and MrBen for having helped us during this period of time. It sure is greatly appreciated!

Coming next up, awards day on Friday! We gotta play well to impress our school! Prove to them that we are deserving of that Gold, and that we ARE capable of making producing goooooooody music.

Probably our last time of having play Sidus, and overture number 2!

Last few practises left with you guys before standing down. Nice having watch you guys grow up. LOLOL.

And of course for the sec1s, jiayou! Practise more! Improve, You guys can do it!

Okay, rest well! See you guys in school tomorrow!

Loved.
